Okay, I know I’m not a kid anymore.. I’m way past my teen years and as a mid 20-year-old most people would see me as a proper adult. You’d think that at 25 you’ve figured out all the stuff and you have started a career in something. And by 30 you know who you are and what you want. The illusion of a stabel job and the conservative pressure of setteling down with a partner and starting a family. Well, this is all very clichee and I know that many poeple my age have different views on life, different to what our grand-parents and parents might expect from us.

To give some of you comfort, or maybe just to comfort myself through my word, I haven’t figured out sh*t. I am still trying to find out who I am and working on becoming the person I want to be eventually. I still don’t have a proper career, but I’ve tried a lot of different things and this leads somewhere as well. Even if it is that you can say “I’ve tried that, but it didn’t work, so I’ve moved on.”

The older I get, the more I realize that parents, teachers, coaches, whoever adult you looked up to when you were young, they all are just people. They also figure out stuff as they go and they learn along the way. They don’t know everything, but when you are young, you don’t question that.

Times might have changed. In a digital age, where we seem to live in a globally connected world, the possibilities seem endless. It’s great and it’s scary! It gives us many opportunities, but it also puts a lot of pressure on us. We constantly compare ourselves not only to the other kids in class, but to people from the other side of the world, who we see on social media.

You all should know, it’s okay to do your own thing in your own time! We’re all individuals and each of us has their own perspective, their own dreams and goals. And as vast as our dreams and goals are, are the ways in which we can work towards them. So just take your time, figure it out for yourself! You will get there eventually!!
